Gerrard thinks Marion gave up far too easily, and that there had to be a way to stop her feeling so sorry for herself. He's very glad, and very relieved, to have been proven right in that hope really did exist, particularly as at the time he asserted it, he had no idea how he was going to get her out.

He hopes that she'll be able to find a better way for herself in van Heusen, and that her outgoing nature won't get her into any trouble.
