Go On Then...

(Incidentally, for those of you wondering where the hell I've been, I apologise - [livejournal.com profile] watcher_tirn has been somewhat LJtime-consuming. Normal service to be resumed soon).

...I'll start this time.

Tell me what your Waygate character thinks of Watcher, and he'll tell you what he thinks of them.

If you're very nice, it might be me telling you what he thinks of them instead.

He may be Human, but he knows the Forest, and the Ways of the land - and his Fury against the Ack competed with even our most ferocious Rangers. I regret not seeing more of him (though that was most likely delberate on his part) - given more time, I could perhaps have called him a friend.

Am still not knowink vot Henlade and Mercy are thinkink of. Still, is beink hard not to notice changes - gone from beink a straight-up nasty little homicidal maniac to havink flavour of bearink of Katrin. Even so, vould not be trustink him until beink enough Ack to be keepink him occupied again.

If is turnink out that change in bearink is beink because Katrin is makink another conqvest, may have to be bleachink own brain. Some thinks do not need to be beink considered.

Quite remarkable how all the competent scouts were those not of the Kingdom of Exiles' Defenders. Although, with Watcher at least, given the torture incident and his attitude towards Katrin's command, I doubt he would have lasted long there, it would certainly have got him court martialled in short order back home.

Still, I was surprised to discover he was actually a local of the Waygate area - from his avoidance of the city and the patrol hall I had assumed he was a traveller like Crowfoot, another with the sense to stay out of the way of the complications the city nobles and the pantheon caused. And now, from the only conversation I had with him, I wonder how much of his apparent attitude was simply to provoke a reaction? Or perhaps he was just another who really didn't like Katrin...

Seems to be one of those people who has spent so long making sure he is good at what he does that he has forgotten how to be anything else. Think he could do with spending some time in a place where everything no is necessarily out to kill him, or him, it. No so sure he would know what to do with himself, though.

Still, am grateful he did not leave me as bait for the goblins
