More Thousand Words Later Than Nimbus...
Aug. 20th, 2007 11:12 pm...I have finally managed to send Starke's full character description to Steve and Greg. Only a little behind time.
It's three days before I leave for the Gathering, and I haven't cracked open Rules 3 yet. This is one hell of an oversight on my part, and quite lucky that I'm not taking a character. A weekend's solid monstering will grant some good on-the-job teaching in time to take the marshall's test again at the start of next year. I find myself quite indifferent to the LT at the moment - probably as I haven't been there in a while. Seems I'll be joining a lot of people in returning at the winter parliament, in my case with the most expensive character I will probably ever play.
On the subject of the Gathering, Flo or Lucy - there was a mooted idea to give me some club funds to go and buy more weapons from the stalls. If you still want me to do that, provision of said funds and some kind of shopping list would be appreciated.
I'm now waiting on one of my supervisors to give me stuff back for correction, then I'm handing in. Simple as that. If I close my eyes and wish hard enough, I can see the EverQuest II GUI welcoming me home.
It's now approximately a year since I jacked in to Norrath and I'm getting well and truly sick of waiting...to say absolutely nothing of how sick I am of having to sit up late into the night writing while Emma drops off to sleep without me. The whole thing's going to come in at somewhere around a hundred and seventy pages, and I have no idea how many words. I'm considering not even counting.
One of the other members of the lab is considering not even getting his corrected before handing it in. I would truly love to be a fly on the wall of the viva if he did that. The man's a prick and would deserve every new asshole he got torn.
Emma and I have a flat (or will have come october). The room layout is like a really high quality mobile home, and it has the world's smallest patio at the back, but it's a shoo-in for the best value rent in Bath. £550pcm for somewhere that is clean, modern, tidy and in a relatively nice area is hand-crafted from pure win. I don't don't even care what the downsides are.
