Been Absolutely Ages...
Aug. 31st, 2007 11:35 pm...rather depressing that I'll probably get through it all in less than a thousand words.
The Gathering was as mneh as monstering a main event sounded to me before I tried it. Nothing for it, as Revek's axe wasn't going to be done in time (or even started, as I was too poor and too slack), and I had no wish to bring the character out while certain people are alive, which I'm going to have to do anyway but will hold off on as long as I can.
Two good monster roles, one as a magma elemental sent to put the wind up the guilds before the big mosh on Sunday, the other as one of the rite team during said mosh and getting to sacrifice my life several times to the same ancestor. Hail Kinslayer, bitches.
Total monetary haul from monstering more or less non-stop from seven in the evening on Friday to just after the final battle on Monday: nine gold, meaning each gold piece cost me £7.22 in play fees. The LT wonders why it doesn't always have a great stock of monsters. I don't.
Thirteen minute final battle - now that's bad. I complained blue murder at a thirty-nine minute battle where my side lost on the grounds it was too short, so I can't let a thirteen minute fight go uncommented on. Not the LT's fault, probably, but it seems that more emphasis is being put on the Sunday mosh. I like this idea, but I'm not sure how many agree with me.
The winter parliament is on Beast Isle. I will be monstering. 'Nuff f**king said, mortals.
___________
My supervisor is taking longer to get back from his holiday than I thought he would. As such, I'm still waiting on his comment on my final two chapters. I am printing out final copies tomorrow, however. They just won't be complete yet.
Emma and I are buying a bed. I consider this a major step forward. The crockery pales in comparison.
Very little else is happening. Told you we'd get through it quickly.
___________
Finally, resisting the urge to post the "tell me about your sexual fantasies that involve me" meme, I'll keep to my creed and post a music one instead:
Comment on this post with the five songs that, when you hear them, you simply can't stop yourself from singing, or drumming, or dancing along with.
Then put this in your own livejournal if you want to (with youtube/pertinent links.)
My five:
Fisher - I Will Love You
Daniela Roth - See
Jessica Riddle - Your Girl
Faith Hill - Cry
The Doug Anthony All Stars - Throw Your Arms Around Me
