...today, discussion took place between my fellow CRs over the branch email over John Terry, and the fact that he is attempting to patch things up with his wife after cheating on her. After emotionally connecting with his mother, his club manager and his fans over the issue, he is going to fly out to where she has disappeared off to to get over him (and told him categorically that it's over) to plead his case.

He has every tabloid in the country, and a fair number of their readers, cheering him on.

Hang on a second...

This is a man who has committed adultery with at least one partner, and maybe more, including those of his own team mates. He kept it a secret from him wife, and would still be at it now if she hadn't found out. How does this give him the right to praise for trying to patch it up? How is she now the evil one for not accepting his apology and taking him back as though nothing ever happened in the first place?

With the weight of public opinion he has on his side, she's going to look like the devil incarnate, responsible for ruining the life of Chelsea's captain and costing him leadership of England to boot if she doesn't forgive him. The fact he not only slept around, but has taken to stalking her and is now using the situation to gain himself publicity and public sympathy, seems to have been conveniently ignored in the name of his Manning UpTM, going to her and explaining how she's got it all wrong, he's really a nice guy, and she should ignore his transgressions because he is so innately cool.

Dumbass, you slept with a woman who wasn't your wife. I imagine despair over your marriage was the last thing on your mind while you were playing away from home. No doubt it was a lot of fun at the time, now pay the fucking price and stop pretending to be the injured party.
