"I never said that people are bad roleplayers because they didn't write down their character history."

Sorry, it comes across as a very strong implication from what you have written above. It might be different to what you mean, but thats the image you are projecting.

Nobody is stopping you having history, back plot etc. If you need that to enjoy yourself, then go for it. You just have to remember that there are other people, have been other people and will be other people. Plenty of people have created identies, locations, histories without pissing anyone else off. You are not the only one who has ever done things in in a way that has, nor will you be the last.

Nor are you the only one who puts hours into larp. I know lots of people that do. You feel penalised because you seem to be unwilling to work within a system that has been in place for years and severed a growing group. You seem to be implying that because people have issues with some of the things you want or do, that you cannot do any of it.

I can respond to situations knowing little about a charecter. One of my greatest pleasures as a writer is when my own charecters surprise me. I ove that. Maybe you can't. That's not a bad relection on you, everyone has different strengths. But you can't change the whole system because you find things hard. And creating things like a total history would do this. It would shape and define TL to those who wrote it, without leaving the flexiblity that people need. I don't understand why you can't see this and why it is a problem.
