magicaddict...thinking it was more than it was.
I have, indeed, been invited to an awards ceremony, and an arts awards ceremony at that - it's just not the full-on Socs awards that I thought it was. Apparently the ICIA have decided that the Union awards evening isn't sufficient for what they have put out over the year, and want to do their own not a week after it. I've been invited to that one.
The same diatribe is still applicable - not only do I not really want to go to the Union Socs awards, I'm not present in Bath anyway - but now includes the ICIA arts awards as well, which will be the same back-slapping for the same people who don't deserve it.
I'm not around for either, and I don't particularly care.
