1) Good call, but might end up blotchy...which, come to think about it, wouldn't be a bad thing.

2) I get it bad enough from the grips on my staff, so thank you for the offer, but I'll leave that alone. I was hoping for smooth leather rather than suede as well - less like the rest of the costume, but more tactile realism.
