The character experiences are fine - there was always "actually, she's at Candlestone doing the 36hr and is as safe and fine as she's going to get" sitting in the subconscious part of my mind just in case I went over the edge. I wouldn't valuntarily make myself think something so truly grim unless I knew it wasn't true.
