I could give a comprehensive list of the outrageous things landlords and agencies have done to me, and it makes for hilarious reading in places so long as you weren't the one directly involved in it, but that's beside the point.
You see, I agree that landlords should be able to fully recover the costs of damage to their property/furnishings, and I agree that they should be able to have reasonable rights to evict tenants who are willfully damaging the property or are causing disturbance that reflects poorly upon the landlord's reputation, and furthermore should a property be left in an unclean state that they be allowed to charge for cleaning. But I've never had a landlord claim on those things. The thing is, I try very hard to not be biased about this, but after so many of them taking the piss I think I'm getting jaded.
