I would heartily reccommend Roy Pegrum as a landlord to anyone who would be interested. His unending reasonability in the face of all kinds of slackness was a lifesaver over the course of my tenency and I would thank him to his face if only I thought his wife wouldn't jump out from behind him and tear my head off.
It was suggested that they balanced each other, and that certainly appears to be so. Part of my indignance probably stemmed from the fact she'd never deigned to speak to me before, and had decided to override what her husband who had was doing and impose her own will upon matters.
