...and I'm back in Droitwich having a beer.

Today was really quite a rush, and considering what I had left myself to do, entirely my own fault.

The co-crystallisation went on, with (if the NMR is accurate) equal amounts of the two -CENSORED-. If there are crystals in there by the time I get back, there may well be dancing through the atria of 1S, all the way to the Parade to get utterly drunk...for I will have (formally speaking) finished my brief.

Speaking of the Parade, fair dues, after I emailed them again, they responded within twenty-four hours with "yes, but you design the advert" - as if I didn't have enough to be getting on with as well. Eighteen letters were copied, watermark enveloped (after I threatened the printer with being traded in for a younger model if it didn't co-operate) and posted, and twenty-one emails were sent out, in an attempt to get places in town to accept our Sweet Charity posters in January. This would have all been done sooner, if I hadn't been possessed at the strangest of times to finish reading through Emma's LJ. I wouldn't have minded being possessed to do so - I just wish it could have happened at a different time.

The following two entities gain the Magicaddict's approval until further notice:
a) The print unit, who took on my order for over two and a half thousand items (regardless of how easy they were to produce, it was still a lot), promised it before the fourth of January, and gave me a call about three hours after I'd left them saying it was ready. Pause for applause.
b) The Holbourne Museum, who responded to my email asking if they would take a poster within three minutes of my sending it. In less than a hundred and eighty seconds, they had read, decided and responded to the request.
Both gain my thanks for making my life easier.

After posting the letters, I left myself with seventy minutes to get home via the Salamander (I wasn't coing home without a microcask of something - fine, they'd run out of Barnstormer, so I had to get Festivity instead. Bummer), finish packing and get to the station. Whole job lot, managed with a sum total of twenty seconds spare. Some would call that "cutting it fine" - I just saw why I was possessed earlier on.

Right, I'm going to eat dinner and enjoy a relaxing drink with my family for the first time in ages.

Damn...it's good to actually to slow down.

Yey for everything sort of falling into place at the very last minute. And that's GREAT about your project. Now go enjoy a slower paced holiday with nothing to worry about. Jammy, but deserved ;)

I'm not sure if it's the work or the BUSMS that are getting me down (the number of jokes associated with that is so large we should probably leave it alone) - I'm still enjoying the PhD and it may be the few consecutive successes that are keeping me in the labs more hours than normal, coupled with the committee from hell.

Come February, I'll actually get to enjoy work with very few external stimuli.
