...of not having a big enough limit on my credit card.

Ordering offline from various computer suppliers has meant that I have had all the orders placed for quite some time. However, their needing to wait for cheques to clear means that said orders haven't been processed yet and will not be arriving in time to put together over this weekend.

This sux.

Additionally, I took one of the first outright days off for illness in ages on Tuesday as I spent the entire day asleep at Emma's. The illness seemed to be directly tied in to how busy you were, for as soon as I got up and started moving around, I felt a lot better. I am now feeling all but cured and just maybe capable of performing tonight in the S-Factor final. Considering that forty-eight hours ago, this was already being written off and Elizabeth was looking at doing a solo instead, things could have turned out a lot worse.

Our tent has turned up. Jon thought he was going to the depot two miles away to pick up his new RAM, all hundred grams or so of it. Instead he found he was picking up a sixteen kilogram tent, and had to carry it home. In return for this forced favour, he is utilising my new RAM until his is delivered tomorrow. The tent will be test erected in Emma's back garden when I go there over Easter - it's not like we have the space anywhere near our house to do so.

I have started sorting out Gabriel's costume in earnest. If anyone knows where I can lay my hands on a cheap wolf head belt buckle, would they please let me know.

In Monday night's Warhammer, we found that not only had we lost our memories, but that we were in the middle of a war zone. We had stumbled into a city that had been half sacked - the only thing preventing its complete destruction being the river running through the middle of it and the wherewithall of the populace to destroy its bridges before the chaos hordes could get across. After tooling ourselves up with new weapons and nonchalantly robbing the dead of all usable supplies, we met up with the survivors and are probably going to spend some time helping protect what is left of the city while we try to get our heads together.

Every time I scan the Blades board, I see someone saying something that really annoys me. I guess I'm just hard to please.

Right, Chris is coming over tomorrow, and in the absence of a computer to build, we'll just have to spend the weekend drinking. Now that's a shame...

Even most traditional armies cosiedered execution for a first offence to be a little extreme.

Regarding the responses: I didn't get half as annoyed by them as I have by other threads in the past (including one that's still visible). Dom's point that I'd forgotten power *armour* in my logistics was a very good one, and I do need to think about that. Tony, I was amused to note, basically agreed with me.

Most traditional armies don't have resurrection. The forces of Life make the Barony able to be much Mightier...

Indeed not, and most characters could use losing the odd threshold to remind them of the fact that this is meant to be quasi-realistic and that there might actually be in-game consequences for ignoring your commander or telling him where to get off in front of subordinates while on a mission - especially if the commander is unable to do anything about it because they are less powerful than the character doing the mutiny.

There is that, yes... I tend to forget about ressurections when I'm thinking of things like logistics.
