A Certain Peak In An NMR Spectrum...

...has shifted approximately 0.25ppm from that of its starting molecule.

It's laced with DMSO and water, and is terribly, terribly faint, but it's definitely there.

I think I've just synthesised the molecule my PhD was designed to create.

I'm not sure whether to crack open the beer or burst into tears. I've actually done it.

DMSO, various alcohols, chloroform, acetone, all sitting in 2.5L bottles on the lab shelf. Can I pick you up anything for the Gathering?
