Today I received the confirmation email I had been praying wouldn't turn up. While I am on a Performance Improvement Plan, on account of my having had a cash difference caused by an issue I have thoroughly resolved yet will not be signed off until 31/01/2010, I am ineligible to apply for any other position within my company. Regardless of what the position entails, and whether or not it will go within half a mile of a five pound note, any and all applications I make through the internal recruitment site must be summarily ignored.
Fuck this for a game of soldiers. I'm writing to Graham Beale.
The chief executive of my company is going to get a copy of my CV, and a letter stating that I respectfully disagree with his HR department's assessment of my worth. It is not intended to be insulting, snide or otherwise sacking-worthy, but rather a speculative application to someone who is, ultimately, my boss, asking whether or not he thinks someone with two technical degrees is suited only to serving on a till. Given he can't sack me, as I'm plainly not doing anything wrong by applying to him, will he decide to hire me instead?
It's not like he could lower me any further than his company has done already, after all.

Date: 2009-12-02 10:02 pm (UTC)I went on in february, retroactivly for january, failed january as I was not aware I was on it, had to have it extened till april, passed until october and finally, due to changing goalposts and unfair treatment (over ruled by senior management) by my manager was able to complete a three month PIP in 10 months...
My annual appraisal is due, which will have me rated low due to being on a PIP... Because of this I will need to go on a PIP
During this time I cannot apply for internal vacancies.
Let me know if you get anywhere, as I will apply to my CEO too
